Torte Red Velvet

Although 'Red Velvet' comes from the U.S. state of Mississippi, in its appearance and composition it is a truly Latvian torte.

The 'Red Velvet' torte is considered a classic American dessert, also popular among Canadians. Its interesting name comes from the colour and visual look of the torte, which resembles red velvet.

The torte has a chocolate flavour, since cocoa is added, and an airy structure, achieved thanks to kefir.

The classic 'Red Velvet' cake has at least two airy sponge layers in red, spread with cream.

Various creams can be used, for example cream cheese, but GUSTAVbeķereja's 'Red Velvet' has a milk and butter vanilla cream.
